Northstar Forge is operated by Ole Christian Nygjelten, based in Oslo, Norway. The website at northstar-forge.com is owned and operated by Northstar Forge.
What information we collect
Information you give us. When you purchase a product, you provide an email address and payment details to our payment processor. We receive your email and a record of the purchase, but never see or store your card numbers.
Information collected automatically. We use self-hosted analytics (Umami) and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site. These tools collect anonymous information such as page views, referring URL, approximate country, browser, and device type. We do not use Google Analytics. We do not sell or share your data.
How we use it
- To deliver products you purchase (we email you the download links).
- To provide customer support if you contact us.
- To improve the website and our products based on aggregate, anonymous usage patterns.
- To comply with legal obligations (tax records, etc.).
Who we share it with
- Stripe — processes payments. Stripe's privacy policy.
- Email delivery infrastructure — used to send your bundle download links.
- Microsoft Clarity — anonymous session-replay analytics. Microsoft's privacy statement.
We do not sell your data. We do not share with advertisers.
Cookies
The site uses minimal cookies — essential session cookies and analytics cookies (anonymous). No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
If you are in the EU, EEA, UK, or California, you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Request that we correct or delete your personal data.
- Object to processing or request data portability.
- Withdraw consent at any time.

Data retention
We keep customer email and purchase records for as long as needed to deliver the product, support you, and comply with tax law (typically 5 years for invoicing in Norway). Anonymous analytics data is retained up to 12 months.
Security
The site runs on a hardened VPS with TLS, automated security updates, and least-privilege access. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe — we never see your card details.
Children
The site and products are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, notify customers via email.
